Weekly Focus /March 1st - March 8th >YOUR LIFE, AN EXAMPLE OF GOD'S WORK?
UNITED IN THE WORD is a men's discipleship program designed to encourage us to study God's word and apply His wisdom to our lives.Sometimes we are blessed with someone who is a true inspiration. Someone who is dealing with circumstances that are unfair and undeserved. Often look at our lives through our own personal lens and we look on at others' tragedy and try to attach blame or reason. W e do this for self comfort and a selfish desire for self preservation. We saw last Saturday in John 9:1-3 that it is not always about the reason, but what happens next! Suffering, adversity and injustice in our lives is not about WHY but it's about HOW! How is the work of God going to be displayed in my life? In God's "Eternal Economy", life is a vapor, an instance of time so short it is compared to a single breath. Life is all about our relationships, with God and our brothers.
Challenge:The challenge this week is to John 9:1-12 and James 4:13-17. Reflect on how you handle suffering and adversity in your own life. Do other look on and see God's work? Purpose to be an inspiration to others through your trials, troubles and challenges
